Dr. Atlal Abusanad, MBBS, MSc, ABIM, FRCPC, CIP, is a medical oncologist and associate professor at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. She specializes in breast oncology and completed fellowships at McGill University. Dr. Abusanad has been awarded for her innovative support of breast cancer survivors and recognized by ASCO for her contributions to oncology blogs. She led a major study on burnout among MENA oncology professionals and focuses her research on breast cancer, molecular oncology, and cancer survivorship. She is head of the breast cancer unit at KAUH, a member of the MOH oncology pharmacy committee, and active in breast cancer advocacy.
