Dr. Faek Jamali was an active surgeon on the staff of Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He is Assistant Professor of Surgery, Rush Medical College, and Chief, Section of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and has also completed two fellowships, one in Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh and one in Laparoscopic Surgery at the European Institute of TeleSurgery. He has an active interest in the oncologic applications of laparoscopy both in basic science and the clinical arena and has been developing a program of laparoscopic colorectal as well as hepatobiliary surgery at Cook County Hospital.
