Dr. Mohamed Albashir is an American-certified general Surgeon specializing in breast surgery. He has held key roles, including Chief of Breast Surgery at Tawam Hospital and Co-Director of its General Surgery Residency Program. As Director of the Breast Care Center, he led its accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers in 2014, the first international center recognized by the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Albashir trained at Downstate Medical Center and served at Jersey City Medical Center and Maimonides Medical Center in New York. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is a Visiting Associate Professor at UAE University and an active member of leading surgical societies.
