Dr. Richard Bambury is a Medical Oncologist at Cork University Hospital (CUH), where he has served since 2015. A graduate of University College Cork, he trained in Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians Ireland and completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Bambury has received multiple awards, including the Irish Society of Medical Oncology Scholarship. His research focuses on treatment prediction, cancer genetics, and novel therapies, particularly for challenging cancers like glioblastoma. He was CUH’s Clinical Director for Cancer Services from 2018 to 2021.
