Dr. Rita A. Sakr (MD PhD – Ass Professor) is a French/European Board-certified Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon & Ob-Gynecologist with 20+ years of experience in surgery, clinical practice, academia, and research. She earned her medical degree from St Joseph University in Lebanon, completed her residency at Aix-Marseille University, and pursued a PhD in breast cancer molecular biology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre and Institute Gustave Roussy. Dr. Sakr has held positions at prestigious institutions such as Institute Curie, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, and Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris. She is an esteemed member of various clinical societies and has numerous publications and international awards. Dr. Sakr is passionate about patient advocacy and has been involved in breast cancer survivorship associations in Europe, the USA, and the UAE.
