Buthaina Al Ameri works as Sr. Specialist in the Radiation Safety Department at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR). She has experience in FANR legal and regulatory framework for over 10 years. Buthaina is involved in the review and assessment of high-risk medical facilities’ license applications for facilities and activities other than nuclear facilities. As an Emirati professional, she is also involved in regulatory oversight and pre-licensing inspection. Buthaina is a coordinator for a number of IAEA projects in the UAE. Currently, she takes part in the ICRP mentorship program as a mentee for task group 116 on Imaging for Radiotherapy.
