Prof. Andreas Mach is a distinguished physicist specializing in radiosurgery, with over 30 years of experience treating brain tumors. As the head of the Swiss Neuro Radiosurgery Center (SNRC AG) in Zurich since 2020, he leads the first ZAP-X® facility in Switzerland. With a background in physics and extensive training in medical physics, Prof. Mach has played pivotal roles in implementing cutting-edge technologies like CyberKnife and Gamma Knife across Europe. He has authored numerous publications and led significant initiatives in the field, including setting up radio surgery centers in Zagreb and Göppingen. Prof. Mach's expertise lies in optimizing radiation therapy for tumor treatment while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues, alongside his passion for advancing imaging and understanding the biological aspects of radiosurgery.
